The solution is based on the Trimble GPS Hardware that has been
specifically programmed to address the needs of vehicle hire, equipment
rental and transport services businesses and for private use.

majority of small business and private users do not require an interval
based reporting. This product focuses on
event based
reporting - an
event being a trip start, a trip end, a speed excess, a period of no
motion in 24 hours, or a remote user request for current location.
This design feature not only provides a complete historical data report
on a vehicles movements but also makes the solution cost between 2 - 30
cents a day, making this the worlds most affordable tracking solution.
The communication protocol is GSM GPRS data, that makes it possible to
use this solution anywhere in the world where GSM networks exist.

vehicle stops/starts are recorded : a 90
day historical record of where and when the vehicle started a trip from

where and when the trip ended.

speed excesses over a set threshold are detected and reported : one of the major worries of parents
of new teen age

driver. Any
speed excess over a set threshold (default is 110 KMPH / 69 MPH) is
automatically reported. User can reset the threshold from the

Q 1. What is cost if the vehicle is stationery for a day ?
Ans The unit sends out 1 scheduled report every day therefore minimising communication charges.
Q 2. My vehicle is in the garage and it has sent out a report
saying "
Locator in a non GPS coverage area.
Battery=81% GPS: Could not get fix GSM Network OK Last position is not
current." ?
Ans. The unit has a motion sensor that is used to determine if the
vehicle is moved. If the vehicle is accessed the motion sensor is moved
and it tries to determine the location inside a garage (where GPS
signals) are not available and therefore this report
Q3. How can I query for the vehicle location from my mobile
phone ?
Download
and install the java program on your phone. Use the Poll
command to find the current location. To receive location on your phone
you must set your phone as that of a supervisor under the Setup in your
web login.
